Dragon Boating has been proven to increase the overall health and length of survival while decreasing the incidence of lymphedema following treatment for Breast Cancer Survivors.
The goal of the Phoenix Desert Dragons team is to extend our support network to better serve the many women and men diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the Phoenix area by encouraging them to lead full and active lives, while also promoting the sport of dragon boating.

Current Fundraisers
The Phoenix Desert Dragons is currently fundraising for team entry fees and travel expenses for upcoming festivals. Additionally, fundraising efforts will support the development of the team through new jerseys and apparel, paddles and training supplies, and more.
Long term fundraising goals include representing Phoenix and the Arizona Dragon Boat Association once again at the in the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission Dragon Boat Festival (France 2026).

BCS Flower Ceremony
It is with deepest gratitude for our fellow paddlers- Phoenix Fire Dragons for making a generous donation to cover the cost of roses for the flower ceremony at the 20th Annual Arizona Dragon Boat Association festival. We had the largest ceremony in the history of the festival with BCP and ACP included!!
